Having fertility problems really sucks, right? All those crappy feelings that come along with fertility problems really suck, right? Not knowing what to do to that will actually help you resolve your fertility problems also really sucks, right?
Enter Your Fertility Coach!
No, she’s not a superhero. That’s you! Your fertility coach is more like a sidekick—the Robin to your Batman, the Chewbacca to your Han Solo, the Donkey to your Shrek. I think you get my point. (And maybe now you also get why I put a picture of that wine bottle at the top!)
Your fertility coach is here to support you on your fertility journey:
Listening to all your concerns, fears, and worries.
Helping you brainstorm and plan strategies to deal with those same concerns, fears, and worries.
Being the cheerleader always in your corner, and a shoulder to cry on when the moment requires it.
Helping you advocate for yourself as you move through your fertility treatments.
Serving as an impartial set of eyes looking at your situation from a different perspective.
How Do I Choose a Fertility Coach?
Perhaps not unsurprisingly, all fertility coaches are not the same. Some focus heavily on diet, and the effects that certain foods have on the body. Others look to supplements to balance hormones and body systems. And still others focus primarily on the connection between the mind and the body, and how the interplay between them can work for, or against you. Not every approach appeals to every woman, so that’s the first thing you need to consider.
The second thing to consider is whether you like the coach’s personal style. Not every person works well with every other person; that's just a fact. You want to be sure that the coach you choose is someone you enjoy communicating with. Most coaches, myself included, offer a free “get-to-know-you” call which can give you a good idea of what the coach is like. Definitely take advantage of the of the free call before you book any sessions.
So Becky, What Kind of Fertility Coaching do You Offer?
I like to call myself a mindful fertility coach, and I focus on the mind-body connection. That’s a bit vague, though, so let me be a little more specific. I help women who are struggling with infertility with, what I call, the “Four Cs:”
Control—taking control of your fertility journey;
Clarity—understanding how you’d like to move forward and the steps necessary to do so;
Confidence—feeling sure of your body’s ability to conceive and carry a child;
Calm—learning to deal with your worries, fears, and doubts so that you have a sense of peace as you move forward.
If that sounds appealing to you, I encourage you to click here to schedule a free call. If not, that’s totally fine. Please keep looking until you find the right person to give you the support you need and want! There is a perfect sidekick out there for each and every one of you Superheroes!
